Description
|
Our group of 3 adults and 8 children sighted the moon from J.A. Lewis park in the Hayward hills. The crescent was visible approximately two fingers above the horizon from 9:00 to 9:06 when it sunk behind some very low clouds. The hilal tips were at 1 o'clock and 6 o'clock. The weather was clear with a light haze and a few sparse clouds closer to the horizon. It was very, very faint and very difficult to see. Four of the children who are experienced moon sighters were unable to see it even as hard as they tried.
